HOT CRACKFILLING AND CRACKSEALING
Hot Crackfilling is necessary when cracks appear due to the pavement drying out over time causing shrinkage resulting in cracking. Asphalt, being a product of petroleum, breaks down over time from the constant absorption of sunlight, spillage of oils or other vehicle fluids as they drip onto the asphalt surface. Cracks allows water to seep down to the base material beneath the asphalt and soften over time, leading to expensive repairs.
Hot Crack Filler is heated to over 425 degrees and applied individually to each crack in order to penetrate the crack and seal it from further moisture getting to the base material and compromising the pavement surface.
